Ourika Lodge, Ourika Valley, near Marrakech
Ourika Lodge, The Healing Place
Ours is a small independently-owned boutique Riad. With fresh clean air and our organically produced food for breakfast and optional lunch & dinner, Ourika Lodge is the ideal place to reconnect with yourself.
Location
Located on top of one of the oldest Jewish villages in Morocco called Anrar, the lodge enjoys a great panoramic view of the Ourika valley and at night you can see the city lights in the distance. We are only 45 minutes' drive away from the city center, the Marrakech medina.
This is an authentic pottery-making traditional village applying centuries-long techniques, and you will be exploring the lifestyle of the local population as they bake bread and maintain their ancient customs.
Accommodations
Ourika Lodge has 6 uniquely decorated bedrooms (all en-suite with shower & toilets) and a private apartment with direct access to the landscaped garden with its flowers and aromatic herbs.
You will enjoy the rooftop terrace with stunning panoramic views of the valley, where you will be served welcoming, refreshing traditional mint tea and a local organic breakfast.

About Berbers
Berbers are the indigenous people of North Africa and are known for their friendliness and kind hospitality. In the 7th century, the Arabs invaded North Africa and forced Berbers to assimilate; they often sought refuge in the high Atlas Mountains. Berbers adopted Islam as their primary religion but have their very own language and other charming customs unique to them.
